Before You Begin

Gather your Salifert Calcium test kit and make sure you have all the components. You'll also need a paper towel and access to RO/DI water for rinsing after the test.

TipPerform this test under bright white light — never under reef tank blue/actinic lighting
TipMake sure your kit hasn't expired (check the box for an expiration date)
TipRinse all equipment with RO/DI water before starting if previously used

CautionCa-1 powder contains sodium hydroxide. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with water.
